For the first time ever conducted on college campus’s in Fall 2010, Oh Megan created a competition between college/university organizations to help gear everyone up for the event and ensure a successful sexuality education turnout. Fall 2010 launched this brand new concept, giving student organization groups incentives for providing a kick butt event.
Spring is here, so if your college/university to host a sex positive event, here are some details on WHAT is involved in “The Study Sex Tour” and how your college can get involved.
Why a Study Sex College Tour?
“The Study Sex College Tour” was developed out of a need to grow future sexuality educators, allow college students to feel like they could explore sexual issues in a fun, educational and respectful way, and promote event planning for student groups. There are a wide range of topics that college organizations can choose from, all of which focus on creating a safe environment for students to learn more about safer sex practices, consent, reproductive justice, sexual pleasure and sexual politics.
After years hearing the anti-sex individuals scoff at the idea of adult sex education being important, Oh Megan conceptualized The Study Sex College Tour to show sexuality discussions do not have to be fraught with fear or hazards to hold a valued, healthy place in our society.
With that in mind, Oh Megan will be partnering with a few high quality sex toy manufactures (to be announced in September) to help give extra incentive to get the best turnout for your future event.
Competition
Should your college group choose to book a workshop with Oh Megan during the college tour (October-December) (January-May), your college group will be entered into a contest to win over “Best Sex Spirit” with over $ 1500.00 in high quality sexual aids. Can you say “I Want to Study Sex?!”
Additionally, since some schools put in a lot of work, but may not “make the grade” the college group with the “Most Valued Potential” will win over 500.00 in prizes!
And….yes, folks, there is more…. because every person deserves sexual happiness, and some people don’t want to wait until the end of the semester, every workshop participant will walk away with two kick butt Oh Megan favorite products to help aide in their learning. That’s right, EVERY participate (who wishes for an item) gets something (and your group could potentially get a whole lot more).
Details, Details, Details
College groups will be competing against other university organizations holding events during the semester. School groups will be given a “Report Card” numerical grade, rated from 1-100 based on their performance.
The College/University groups will be “graded” on the following topics:
- Audience Participation and Engagement, Audience Attendance, Student Professionalism, Audio/Visual Ease, Workshop Environment, Advertising, Communication.
When Do We Win?
Well first, you have to have a good program. But you can follow along and get an idea of how you are stacking up on “The Study Sex Report Card” which is viewable to all. See how the other schools stacked up, monitor how communication is taking place and see where you rank after the program.
The college group that receives the highest score will be announced on May 5th and prizes will be mailed out on May 6th.
If You Win
If your group wins, you will receive an e-mail of congratulations, and it will be necessary to provide Ms. Andelloux with an address to send the basket of goodies off! Products that are sent to you can be distributed however the group wishes.
