I&#039;ve heard this rumor many times also.  It does not matter which type, the only way that HIV or other STI&#039;s can transmit through the microwavable saran wrap is if the microwave is ON.  I don&#039;t care how turned on you get, you&#039;re body will never reach that temp.  So, whatever type you have, works as a great barrier for oral/genital, oral/anal contact.  Just don&#039;t wrap it around a penis as a condom-it will NOT protect against pregnancy.</description>
